.no is the official top-level domain, called TLD, for Norway. The country domain is specifically reserved for companies and individuals in Norway as well as foreign entities that wish to be visible in the Norwegian market.

Who can buy a Norwegian domain?
Unlike what applies to many other country domains, not just anyone can buy and own a .no domain. The top-level domain is only for Norwegian companies and individuals.
To register a Norwegian domain, the following is required:
- Company: Must have a Norwegian postal address and be registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre with a Norwegian organisation number.
- Individuals: Requirement for a Norwegian postal address as well as a national identification number – so-called PID number – through registration in the National Registry.
Companies and organisations can have a maximum of 100 registered Norwegian .no domains. Individuals can own a maximum of 5 Norwegian domains.
