Mark Devaney

Mark is a partner and co-founder of the Abion Dubai office and has 28 years’ experience in the field of IP operating in a variety of roles.

Before moving to the Middle East, Mark spent 18 years at leading IP specialist firm in the UK, where he worked his way from trade mark records assistant to partner in the trade marks team.

Mark offers comprehensive advice on IP protection and enforcement across the GCC and Middle East. His expertise includes serving as external counsel for leading companies across a range of sectors, with a strong focus on brand protection, IP strategy, anti-counterfeiting and disputes.

Mark has served as chair of the Intellectual Asset Management team at brand owner’s organisation, MARQUES. He has also served on INTA’s Global Advisory Council for the Middle East and is currently a board member of the Dubai Business Group for IP at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
